    Knocked myself out

While my wife was socializing a couple of sites away, I was picking up some garbage in our site. It had rained the day before so the trash can was under the front of the camper. I went to throw something away and the next thing I know I am laying on the ground looking up at the kingpin. I thought to my self “what the h...”. I put my hand to my head and it came back all bloody. I don’t remember hitting my head on the kingpin and I don’t remember falling so I must have knocked myself out briefly.

Head wounds bleed a lot and it seemed like it took forever to get the bleeding stopped. I probably should have got a stitch or two but I was too embarrassed to go to the hospital. I was really surprised that the next day there was no pain at all, not even a slight headache. The rest of the weekend I walked around the front of the camper, not underneath.

Been there san the blood. We had our 5th wheel about a week and I was putting some tools in the front storage. Thought I had cleared the front...wrong...on the ground and briefly wondering what the heck just happened? Glad yours was a flesh wound and not more serious.

Ouch. Glad you're ok. I've seen some people attach pool noodles to that area to help minimize impact.

I'm more concerned that you don't remember telling this story the other seven times.

I can't believe you knocked yourself out. Holy cow! I hit my head in and around the RV all the time but I've never hit the kingpin. Last spring I hit the side of the overhang HARD but it didn't knock me out.

Wow you hit hard to kock yourself out. Head wounds can be bleeders. Bet you duck next time

If you would of gotten stitches you'd of had a nice shiny patch on top of your head while the hair grew back in and could of gotten to retell the story to everyone who looks at you and asked why.

Outch, glad your OK. Golden rule when RVing is to look up. I guess this also applies when clean up around your rig. Lol

Last week I ran into the side of my trailer overhang with my forehead carrying my Blackstone to the storage. Knocked me back a couple of feet. Guess I should have been looking up.
At home the trailer is parked level with the front high enough that I can walk under it without bending over, the site I was in when this happened the front was quite a bit lower.
At least when I looked around, no one was out to see it...had to wear a hat the rest of the day to hide the red bump on my forehead

This issue did cross my mind when we were debating travel trailer vs 5er years ago. I’ve whacked my head a few times but not knocked out..... yet! Glad you’re OK
