Just an FYI... If you are applying for a NP lifetime pass you can get one for just the $10 processing fee IF you are legally disabled. I got mine at the age of 60 for the $10 fee.

We stay mostly around the Pigeon Forge Tn area. Prices mid 40's to 90 dollars a night depending on campground. A few can be found under forty if you don't mind staying fifteen miles or so away. TVA has a couple of nice campgrounds in Sevierville.

I only used data from the last 24 months - things have been steadily going up since we started out full-timing six years ago. Over the past 730 nights, the average has been $22.18/night. This is a mix of one-nighters, weekly and monthly rates and includes private and military campgrounds (with a few state parks thrown in). We have spent less than two weeks total moochdocking in six years, so I didn't try to factor that in.

My wife and I mostly use State Parks in Florida. Because were seniors we pay $12.00 per night. No sewer, but electric and water. Our parks here in Florida are excellent.

Here in Atlantic Canada it's between $40 and $50 per night Canadian. Never boondocked but do plan to try it for sure. Hopefully towing a 41 foot TH.

Harvest Host sites are free (sort of), expose you to unique locations, and get you away from the ugly, crowded RV parks.

Down around St. Mary's GA (one mile from Florida line) there are reasonable weekly and monthly rates at private parks.
    Have fun:

Wow, that’s crazy for Georgia State Parks. Are you seniors? What we pay here in Florida $12.00 is senior rate. Even without it’s still only $24.00.

That is high, but Texas State Parks are almost as bad, being well known as a money grab. On topof the campsite rate, there is also a $4-5 per person per day in effect. That can make for a pretty expensive weekend for a moderately sized family. I stopped going to them several years ago. COE much nicer, much cheaper.

Yes, we are seniors and Friends of GA state parks ($100.00 per year).
Kinda pricey but approx. 1/2 the time we can get full hookups.
The Friends get us another discount. I checked the last few receipts
    and $35.00 is right on.
    Hope this answers your question:

Supply and demand. Prices have been steadily going up. I don't keep records so I just make up stuff that sounds about right. The one year I did keep track of our camp ground expenses we averaged $18 per night. But that included 3 months of volunteering at state parks. I have paid as much as $150 a night for a resort RV park near a National Park and as little as $8 for a primitive campsite. Around cities I think the average price is around $55 now, while in more rural areas $35 seems to the going rate.

Weekly and monthly rates help to keep costs down. When we started in 2011 I budgeted $1000 a month for rv sites. In 2021 my planning budget is $1500 per month. We work hard to keep it under that, but it's a good starting point as far as expectations go.
