Good quality stainless is not magnetic. That a magnet sticks to your bathroom sink indicates that it is in fact metal, but also that it’s low-grade stainless which is actually pretty common. I would not expect to find high-quality stainless in any RV selling for less than $100K, so your non-magnetic kitchen sink likely not stainless, but also maybe not plastic either - there are a lot of “composites” available today.

Go back and read ALL of the comments in this post, and you'll probably find that you actually DO have a stainless sink with a coating on the underside.
