    Dinings side, under slide seal

As we were packing it in on our season opener I noticed an issue with the seal that runs along the bottom of the dining slide. It is chewed up on half the slide. The other slide is fine.
What could cause this to happen?. We are almost 3 months out of warranty. Replacing the seals doesn't look all that difficult, they are held on with a flashing of sorts.
It's the unknown cause that concerns us.

Marcy & Gary--wow that is a concern. Our warranty expried about 3 months ago too. Our RV has been indoors since the end of October. This is not an area that I look at all the time but will certainly look over when we get ours out in a few weeks. GDRV seems such a great company, it seems an item that would concern them and they would treat you right.

Keep us posted.......I will share my findings in a few weeks.

Janice, added the VIN, our 303 was dropped off at the dealer yesterday 5/12.

We'll update when we hear back as the cause or if it was just a freak event of the seal getting caught.
Some time back the slide made a loud noise and jumped off the adjustment. Now I wonder if this is what caused that.

Marcy & Gary--what did you ever find out as to what the cause of this was ? Is that seal supposed to role "over and in" with the slide when retracting or stay in position ? I noticed that our dining slide seemed to stick at the top when retracting on our last two trips and when I stopped it to look things over I saw that this seal on had rolled under when retracting and seemed to be squeezed very hard. I am concerned about it ripping up possibly like yours did.....I did notice some abrasion and one little hole after looking the seal over when I extended the slide before our fall cleaning and storage last week.

    Thanks ,

    Dan

Those pictures look exactly like my Reflection dining slide did back in July 2014. Dealer replaced the seal, now back at dealer having thestrip (one in picture, the one with the screws in it) replaced due to it coming off the trailer. Dealer had adjusted the slide prior to the seal being chewed up like the picture. Maybe the issue is the slide is totally out of adjustment now. They also adjusted the kitchen slide in July 2014 and it is perfect, seals intact. I am also wondering about the fix performed for Marcy and Gary.

We had the seal replaced at the dealer, they also found a loose screw in the slide that may have put things out of adjustment just a little. That was also repaired. We've been on a 6 week trip plus a couple 1 and 2 weekers and so far the seal is fine.
