Changing tire
For future info, we’re should you place a jack on a new 22 rbe to change a tire? When we picked up the TT the tech told me place the jack about 8-10” inboard of the hub. I think this would bend the axle. I would place the jack under the unbolted with a piece of wood. I have read some people say to jack up the frame. Wouldn’t this allow the suspension to sag down and not lift the wheel? Sorry if this has been asked before,
would like to know correct way before I need to change the tire. TIA2021 Imagine xls 22rbe

We just got a trailer aid plus. I used it last weekend for the first time to adjust my brakes and it worked really well. Quick and easy.

I am not a fan of these trailer aid ramps
Maybe they are harmless but I don’t like the idea of all the weight of that side of the trailer now is on one axle
Maybe a short period of time but the axle will definitely be overloaded for the duration
How long does it take for something to bend

I have a small 6 (?) ton jack that I put under the spring area. I too don't like those trailer aid things. It puts all the weight on one axle. The axle only needs to be lifted about 1.5". Thats less than a lot of bumps in the road or about the same as driving onto a driveway. By jacking up only one axle you still have the other axle offering support.

I use 6 ton double ram bottle jack from Northern Tool, no blocks needed to lift camper tires off ground. Put in center of spring shackle and jack both tires off ground at once. No force at all on axles.
Double ram will lift camper high enough you don't have to use any wooden blocks. Was $49 dollars on sell.

Double ram jacks seem like the way to go.
So another question. We have a 337RLS and I'm planning to do the bearings tomorrow. We have the Morryde IS with disc brakes. I have two 12 ton single ram bottle jacks and the tires clear the ground by about 1/2" which will be enough.
Our unit has the Ground Control 3.0. I've read other posts where members talk about using the camper electric jacks to raise the unit. Question - is it possible to life just one side on two electric jacks? Or are they talking about lifting the entire unit on the four electric jacks?
My thought is to use the two bottle jacks with jackstands (just in case) and to purchase two double ram bottle jacks in the future. Any insights would be appreciated.Tim & Lisa
