    F350 Towing Capacity Help

    Hello,

I am reading the towing selector on the F350 of mine and I would like someone's help that knows more than me. My truck has an 11,500 GVRW Package. The towing selector has 2 towing weights listed for my truck, one with a (4) next to it which designates it needs the optional 10,000 GVWR package and the other with no 4 next to it. The first GCWR for the one with the (4) is 21,600 and the one without the (4) is 28,700.

Is it safe to assume that my truck, since it doesn't have the (4) 10,000 GVWR package, and it has the 11,500 GVWR package, is the one that has the GCWR of 28,700# GCWR and the max loaded trailer weight of 20,600#?

This is the guide I'm looking at https://www.fleet.ford.com/content/d...VTTowGuide.pdf

Also, I went to the cat scales and weighed my entire rig and here are the results: Click image for larger version.

I will be taking the truck itself on Friday as the place was jammed and I had nowhere to unhitch and weight the truck at that time. But based off my door stickers, I'm under the weights for the axels. Thanks, in advance to anyone who can help identify what weights my truck goes by.

    It's a 2018 F350 Diesel Platinum with 20" tires, 4x4, 6 3/4 box. 3.55 Rear and 11,500 GVWR Package.

How can you tell only 120#? Nevermind, I see it now. My truck has 3300# I can put in it/on it. I have to take the truck itself to the cat scale and see where it stands with that.

I've got a similar truck and here's the "truck only" weight ticket. My yellow sticker in the door shows a payload capacity of #3368 .

That's pretty much identical to mine. Can you tell me how my weights looks with my sticker using your truck since they're pretty much the same. I have the same hitch as you do as well. I have a feeling I'm over weight capacity of the truck.

I can't disagree with NB. We're both pushing the limit on the GVWR of our trucks. I'm not really experienced enough to give you any advice that you should trust.

Hey imo if you are under it is good to go
But I know quite a few on this forum if I was that close to my GVWR on my half ton they would say I am a danger on the road and risking lives
We will see if they come and say the same to a “maxed out” 1 ton
    I am guessing they won’t

Well your numbers prove you are not “over”
You are under but with my rough calculations it appears your cargo you have loaded is over 2000 lbs
Maybe a diet would be the first step

I have a 100lb generator in the front storage and the washer and dryer, plus the hitch in the bed of course. That stuff right there is over 600lbs roughly on the payload. I'll have to move some stuff to the back of the rig when we tow, that will help a lot. If you look at what we have, it's really not that many things. It's about the same as we had in our 2670MK minus the W/D but this rig is much heavier of course. I am already working on cutting down some small things that way 5-10lbs each that we really don't need.

I'm hoping with a combination of moving things to the back when towing and removing about 200lbs of extras will help. My truck is capable enough to tow 20K pounds based off the ford guide, but the payload is the issue, as always. Thanks for the help. I'll put up another weigh ticket once I do all that just to show the difference, if there is one.

Towing down here the truck pulled it like it "wasn't even there". I half forgot we had it attached at times. Even up hills and down hills, it was great.

I would not move things to the back at all
    This can have disastrous results
You are under so I would leave as is if it were me
