Northern MN Members Who Just Upgraded.

New members here from the Iron Range in MN. We just upgraded from a 12ft e-Pro to a Grand Design Transcend MK200. It's like a mansion in comparison! Mostly weekend warriors around the state, but venture further a couple times per year. Looks like a great group full of ideas and advice!

Welcome! We are from the twin cities. Took our first trip two weeks ago to a state park in southern MN. Next week is Itasca State Park. Then Brainard area and Bear Head in August. We are looking at Temperance River for late fall. Unfortunately, they only have a few sites to accommodate a 33 foot fifth wheel. Same with Cascade State Park. If you know of any campgrounds on the north shore worth looking for let me know. Thanks!

We are from the Twin Cities as well. One of our goals is to visit every state park in Minnesota. You can get a state park “Passport” and stamp it every time you visit one. 25 visits will get you a free night camping. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/clubs.html

Our 303 is too big for many of the parks but we will often stay in a private campground nearby and just visit the parks. There are some really beautiful state parks in your area. Have fun!

Tettegouche is very nice and has some sites that would work with that size rig, but good luck getting reservations! We winter camp there, and would love to do summer, but it's impossible to get a spot.
