    F350 Hitch 6'5 Bed

    Hello,

I need a sliding hitch for my F350, any recommendations? I've read through this forum but I'm not sure what I want yet.

We put a Pullrite slider in our F250 6.9 bed. Works real well.

Size of trailer? B&W probably has what you want.

You will find a lot of good options out there. It's all about your preferences.
Every sliding hitch needs some type of adaptor to make it slide when turning. I use the Demco Autoslide because the adaptor is part of the hitch and not part of the Pin (trailer). That way the trailer is 'stock' and can be pulled by any hitch if needed for service or in an emergency. Since I only have one trailer to pull, my hitch can have the adaptor on it, and it won't interfere with anything else.

Demco, Pullrite, B&W are all good products. Geotex1 is correct, it's about how you want to use it.
Let us know what you figure out. It's always good to hear other perspectives.

This is the one we decided to get: B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w Slider for Ford Towing Prep Package - Dual Jaw - 20K. The ratings seam to be pretty good. And we will be fulltiming in it.

Does the BW slide on its own when turning, or do you have to get out of the truck and unlock it?

You have to pull a lever to unlock it and then I use the brake controller to manually hold the trailer brakes and ease the truck forward. Also have to pull the same lever and do the same thing to move it back into the forward position.

Thats very interesting with the B & W Slider Hitch. I have that same B & W slider Hitch. I have a real problem getting my hitch to move back. I block the trailer with wheels chock and release the lever and drive forward and it does not release. Finally after going back and forth several times it releases. I am going to try holding the brake controller and see if that helps. I keep the rods clean and lubed. I hope this procedure works.
