HELP!!! Small hole in RV shower wall
SO, after a long tow east we arrived to FL with a small hole in the wall of the shower. It is smaller than the size of a dime. I was about to just put some silicone caulk on it, but wanted to get anyone else's opinion on it. I am certain the shower is just plastic. I didn't want the look of eternabond tape. Any help would be appreciated.

Anything should work fine. Tape might look better than a gob of silicone to me but it is your trailer
How did it happen?

Not sure. We have had the RV for 2 weeks. We just towed it from UT to FL. We think a bottle of shampoo fell out of a basket in transit. Really stupid to leave it in there. This is not my first RV, so I know better. The good thing is that the hole is on the flat spot in the corner where you would leave a bottle of shampoo or something. After noticing the hole I did a close inspection and noticed a small vertical crack as well. It is only about 1/4". It is 3 or 4" form the hole. Probably related. I surprised at how thin the shower walls are. So cheap.

Might want to drill a small hole at the end of the crack to prevent it from spreading.

Well that could be just splitting hairs. I weighed the bottle. It had less than 1" of shampoo in it and weight less than .25 lbs. I could drop that 100 times and it would not cause a hole. It just happened to hit the one spot of weakness where the molded shelf comes out. Either way it was my fault. I will fix this just like I fixed all the trim that fell off during the trip. 2 pieces of the crown molding from the slideouts in the front living room and the one over the dining rom table..which is 3 pieces. Then I will repair the vinyl floor in 3 spots from where the molding fell. It is part of the game. I have done this before to be certain. I am also not sure it is GD fault. The roads in this country are terrible. LOL. I am going with the tape option for sure. Like you I dont like globs of silicone.

When I've had issues like this with non-GD components, GD has been very good about pointing me to the manufacturer of the components (most recently, our bathroom sink). The manufacturer can tell you exactly what material the shower is made of and what it would be best to repair it with. In our case, the sink manufacturer sent me a color-matched resin repair kit at no charge.
I would highly recommend that you create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question and people won't have to ask to respond. You can create a signature by going to:
