Low pressure, hot side, all faucets

I’ve tried the usual remedies. On city water. Got into the basement, checked for “crushed” lines. All looks good as far as I can see. Located and removed a “plastic” check valve from the top of my Suburban W/H. Looks ok. Spring and valve intact. Moves well. “Burped” my H/W tank (trapped air?). Seemed to work for awhile (couple of hours), but it is still definitely slower than my cold side. Fluctuating too. Ordered a brass check valve from Amazon. (Cheap and relatively easy). Anything else I should be looking at?

    Thanks everyone

A real long shot (but easy to do). Spoiler alert, my guess is it is the check valve.

    1) Turn off your water pressure (pump or city supply) and relieve any pressure (I use the low point drains in the wet bay). You do not need (or want) to drain your lines. You just want to take pressure off of the valves for the next step.
    2) Cycle (turn fully each way) ALL valves on the Nautilus panel. Pay attention to the "feel/effort" and how far each turns. Each valve should turn either 90 or 180 degrees and should take about the same effort and be consistent across the range of motion. If not, it might indicate an internal O ring that has popped out of place.
    3) Reset your valves to your use (city water). Verify that your water heater bypass is fully in the "non-bypass" mode.
    4) Make sure your water pump is off (may cause the fluctuations if is kicks on), since you are on city water. Do you know what your water pressure is? Are you using a pressure regulator? Maybe a couple of sources of the pressure fluctuations.

    Good luck

No, it keeps hot water from going back into heater. Buy a brass one.

Thanks everyone. Bought 2 brass check valves (one for next time). Easy install. Had to do it early because afternoon temps in the mid to upper 90s. Took a real shower tonight. Ahhhhhhh.
