    Low water Drain

I am not sure if this is the right place for this problem.
Both my low water drain valves leak. I put caps on them to fix them temporally. They are on the side of the Nautilus. Does anyone know how to get behind them to change them out.

Sorry this was supposed to go in Solitude

Moved to the Plumbing and Water Systems sub-forum.

The basement wall can be removed (held by just a few screws) to access the back of the Nautilus panel.

You have to worm your way between the Nautilus box and the water heater, but you should be able to get to them. Don't be surprised by by the spaghetti mess you'll find when you remove the basement wall(s).

Try changing the O-rings in the valves. You can push the rotating part of valve out, and see if washer is missing, I had same issue and the rubber O-ring was missing. These valves use #6 and #8 O-rings.. Can get at Lowes / Home depot

I tried changing the O rings but I neglected to check exactly how they go back together.
Does anyone know where I can get these exact valves?

Thanks, I don't see the 2 valves they use for the low point drain.

OK I repaired the valves. I got the proper grease (plumbers waterproof silicone grease) and some new #6 O rings. I inserted the rotating part with the O ring facing in the upward direction. Both valves are holding pressure with no leaks. Thanks for all the help.

Is the hot low drain meant to weep? Soon after powering the water heater, I notice the screw cap the hot drain line is weeping water. It stops after a little bit.

I tried hand tightening it to be sure, but it feels as tight as it can go.
