You had lots of bad luck; most of us GD owner have not. Reach out to them and see if they will help. Maybe the design engineer went to slept on this model. Regardless of who manufactured parts that go into camper or any other vehicle it is the seller of camper or vehicle who is responsible in the end, not their parts suppliers. For example if design engineer put a 3500 lb capacity axle in a 3499 lb camper, shame on him or her.

What if screws or clamps or some small part that is essential to an appliance fails? Is that not Suburban or Furrion or Jensen's issue because they just assemble those appliances? If that's the case then we all need to drill deeper to find out what company really made something and it's going to lead back to some sweat shop in China for most things.
Lol. Did I say that GD had no responsibility?
The have a responsibility to follow the warranty
This is a 4 year old rig and they are frustrated with Grand Design

I get it. And I get they're frustrated. After the warranty is done, it's all on us. This is true of all RV companies, not just Grand Design but I do know GD stands behind their RV's better than most and their customer service is usually very good. My point was in many cases RV owners don't know who to be contacting. Manufacturers point to the dealers and parts companies. Dealers and parts companies point at the manufacturers. When that all fails, we get pointed to the manufacturer of the parts that are part of the part that failed. It's head scratching at best.

When you buy most items you get one owners manual
    Car,truck,television,lawn mower etc
When we buy a trailer we get a packet with every component manual. These are different animals than most products
The info is there of who to contact when issues arise
I just see a lot of “bashing” of rv manufactures here and elsewhere and most times it is unjustified
This post is an example since they hadn’t even contacted GD as far as we know

You're absolutely spot on. RV's are different animals and there's no part on any RV that is top notch. They charge a boat load of money for a step above "junk" and we gladly pay the money because we love the lifestyle and most of us don't have the time or the energy to build our own. With that being said, any RV owner should never assume the experience is like buying a new car and they better be able to fix a lot because many things will break or fall apart given enough time!

It can e like buying a new house. They both have a lot of the same components. fridges, stoves furnaces and so forth. If you buy a new house you would get a lot of literature of items that are in it. If your new house came with a fridge and it went bad you wouldn't go to the person that sold you the house you would go to the manufacturer of the fridge.

You are missing the point. These problems have been since day one, not 4 years down the road. Brakes failed 3 times in 1st year. Pin box failed twice in 1st year. Sorry if you don't understand our frustration.

Sorry for all your bad luck, all these problems should not have happened on a new camper. Looks like you have done about all you can by contacting GD; I am disappointed in them for not doing more for you. They took care of me by sending parts for me to replace myself, fireplace, water pump, radio, etc.. If I had all problems you faced I would definitely be upset with GD.
Don't know if you tried contacting CEO of GD; I believe one stayed behind when they sold to Winnebago; probably a long shot but may work.
