303 black and grey water dumping

Hello, when i am dumping the black and grey tanks would it be beneficial to be on some sort of slight incline or should i be perfectly level? for example I dumped the tanks and the driver side was higher then the passenger side. I think i got it all out but when i parked the trailer i took the cap off and some water came out. I was thinking maybe since i was on a slight incline the water got trapped in the pipe. I am not sure how the plumbing is but curious where the plumbing comes out of the tanks (anyone have a diagram?) are the tanks mounted at a slight angle or level with the trailer? where does the clean out pipe come out of the tanks the bottom of the tank? back, front, left or right side? Im sorry if this doesn’t make sense I am on my first cup of coffee

It is fairly difficult to get all the water to drain from the pipes. Many install a twist on valve at the discharge connection to prevent getting toes washed

My thoughts are that it doesn't matter unless the lean is severe. Here's a couple pictures of the 303RLS tanks--mine--and their layout under the RV.

    Hi Hatrack,
I think it is just that the drain pipes are all really horizontal. It takes a long time to drain out the last little bit.
I have just learned to keep the cap in "deflector" position as I open it, to keep from getting wet.

    To Brent,
Thanks for posting the pictures !!
I have been after GD since we got our 303 to provide some pictures of what's where. It would be easy to do if they allowed pictures of their assembly process. All those loose hanging wires are a little discouraging . . . but, I have come to expect this.

We are having the same problem and the twist on valve has been a godsend. Like you guys I think I have it all out, but when I get to the next site, I'm proved aquafully wrong.
thinking I've got a leaky valve, we left 303 at the dealer for three weeks and they couldn't find the problem.
Looking left to right, my #2 gray valve is suspiciously easy to pull in and out, thinking it may be the culprit.
Buddy of mine suggested I put different food coloring in each tank to see if I can identify which one is the culprit.
    Any ideas?

    Thx

I installed a blade valve at the discharge end just before the cap. Not only does it stop this problem, it allows me to equalize the grey water tanks using the dump plumbing. In effect, make them one large tank.

Nick - so you leave your two gray tank valves open all the time?

Brent - - Do you happen to have a pic of the fresh water tank? Would really like to see one before I drop the vapor barrier. Have fun !

The fresh water tank is VERY tightly sandwiched between frame pieces directly above the fresh water dump valve (of course). I'll see what I can dig up.

Edit: Added photo. Best I can do. The tank is about 7" tall.

I wait till one is full (always the kitchen with us) then I open the valves, let them equalize and leave them open.
