Water leak
Develop a leak at the hot water tanks. It was coming from the plastic check valve fitting that feeds the unit. Looking for a replacement for it and found the make one in brass. So installed fitting and fixed that problem.
With a nightmare of hoses, fittings, and clamps I think I need to keep some on hand. What type of fittings should I get.
Thanks Terry

If you're handy, it's best to replace all that flexible stuff with 1/2" pex. All the fittings are typically 1/2" npt.

That's understandable. There is some pex already installed, and some flexible stuff. Personally, I keep a few short runs of blue and red pex along with couplers, elbows, tees, and some of the 1/2" npt adapters along with pex cutters and cinch pliers/rings. The issue will be is if a flexible hose leaks, the ID of the hose is larger than the OD of pex fittings which is partly why they leak in the first place. Some people have had good luck with hose clamps and hose barb type fittings.

Thanks FT4NOW I did see two different types of water lines and clamps. I will make note of what you listed and pick some up.

Hi Goober, We don't know what TT you have, but I was able to replace all of my soft hose while I was mending from a fall that resulted in 2 broken ribs and several others cracked. That soft hose falls into two categories, that has failed and that is about to.

Yes, I also have a variety of Pex fittings along with the Pex clamps and crimp tool.
I bought the Iwiss crimp cinch tool from Amazon and I am really pleased with the quality.
