I bought 3' sections of hose and leave them permanently attached to the fresh and black tank rinse fittings on the Nautilus panel. I then put quick disconnects on the other ends of these short hoses. This has worked really well so far and I don't worry about stripping the cheap plastic fittings on the Nautilus panel by connecting and disconnecting hoses every few days while traveling.
The other big advantage is I don't have any water dripping from the panel fittings onto and into into the gray/black tank handles below when disconnecting hoses. This happened on my first 5th wheel and I ended up having rust form on the cables and the valves became difficult to operate. After a year and a half of full time use with my current RV, my gray and black valves operate just like they were new.Brian & Kellie

Hi Rob!! This is awesome and so helpful. I have a 21 BHE Imagine and my connection area is a little tight. What are you thoughts on have a 1 foot flex hose from the inlet with Elbow (to create some space) and then pressure regulator and then y and then the 3 footer hose for black tank wash and other y side for fresh. I will have to figure out where to put filter. Thoughts? Thank you again.
best strategie on keeping unit...
