Your update did away with the 90 degree and replaced with “SS Flex Hose”. The new hose appears way shorter than 3’ hose.

Would you happen to have a link to the support bracket you used and this shorter SS hose?

Also curious how you attached the support bracket the Nautilus box wall?

My utility bay is steel, so I just used sheet metal screws to mount the support. My plan, before we hit the road again April 1, is to cut a piece of plywood to put behind the screws (with longer screws) to stiffen things up.

From experience, a water filter on the high pressure side of a pressure regulator can be blown by excessive pressure. A regulator at the water source protects everything including the supply hose. A carbon water filter at the coach reduces the hose taste from the supply hose. Just some observations over 60 years of camping.

Thanks for all the info. I am new to all this and trying cover all bases before getting set up come springtime in Ohio. Going to park our recently purchased 2019 344GK for the 2022 season at a local camp ground near home. Will be purchasing a tow vehicle this time next year(fingers crossed for better market/availability) that will give me the ability to avoid 30+ weeks per year that I normally spend in hotels in various parts of the country working.

Thanks for info on location of regulator/filter in the overall setup. Thankfully our unit has a built in filter.

Do you see any need for second filter inline(between supply hose/second adjustable regulator w/ gauge) when a built in filter in already present?

I'm not sure who you're asking... I don't have a second filter - the blue filter housing in the photo replaced the OEM filter housing that cracked. I have, however, installed a ceramic/carbon block filter underneath the kitchen island with its own spigot on the counter top just for drinking water and cooking.

Just be sure the built in filter includes a charcoal stage. Most changeable filters have filter elements available with a charcoal stage. A sediment filter will not remove taste or pollutants.

I should clarify, the type filter that can be blown is the small blue one with hose threads on each end, not the big “whole house” type with changeable elements. The latter are much heavier and can take higher pressures.

There's granulated charcoal... and then there's carbon block. Granulated charcoal allows water to sneak around the granules and doesn't do a great job of removing bad tastes. Carbon block is flow-restrictive and not very useful in whole-house RV applications. The combo sediment/granulated charcoal filters can be had almost anywhere and are inexpensive; carbon block filters (often with a ceramic shell and used in reverse osmosis systems) and cost around $80 each. Our solution (no pun intended) is to use a combo filter in the housing in the utility bay and I installed the filter system described in post #65 above.

Such a good idea. I ordered the parts from your earlier install yesterday then read the new version this morning. I'll probably stick with the original but add a support bracket perhaps.
