LED wheel wheel strip lighting
I'd like to add some for when we are static in the park and can run off either battery or shore power.
Anyone done this and if so, what lights did you use and how?
Thanks

What do you mean by "wheel strip," Ray? I'm trying to envision placement. If you're talking about LED strip lighting around the bottom perimeter, the newer Solitudes come with it (I'm not sure about other lines). You just have to find a wiring path to 12VDC and a way to secure the LED strip(s) to the underside of the chassis. BTW - there's a lot of chatter on the Escapees forums about campers who leave outside lighting on after bedtime.

Some people don't like the light pollution when sitting outside late or don't like it if lighting shines in their RV bedroom at night. It doesn't bother us very much since the GD units come with blackout shades.
Some folks buy LED strip lighting with its own power supply, plug it into an exterior 120VAC outlet, and lay it on the ground around the perimeter. A lost of folks who boondock in the southwest say it help keep critters from under the RV... I've never tried it personally to see if that's true.

I will agree with Rob
Unsure what the attraction is with exterior lights
Next to yapping dogs this is another peeve but the good thing is I generally retire before dark anyway since this time of the year it is still light at 10 pm

Important point for all newcomers and old hands alike - be conscious of where you are camping because more and more area are enacting regulations to reduce light pollution. Some regulations have been around for decades. I was truly disappointed about the full-timers on YouTube ranting because they were told to move on because of their light pollution when it was a community ordinance and I know for a fact a reminder was in their campground reservation agreement as Nikki and I stayed in the campground many times... Beyond light pollution and peoples' opinions, it does affect natural habitats and the night is full of life and great camping locations are always in those habitats. Tread lightly.
