    Outside Speakers

Whomever thought of the idea to put speakers on the outside of CAMPING RVs should be . . .

Or maybe I'm just getting old?! Nah, just more courteous than some others. Happy 4th everyone!

I agree, many play those poor sounding speakers much louder than they think they are. Or you get the ones that have no clue they're on and serenading the camping neighborhood.

Or you get they guy who refuses to put on his darn hearing aids and blasts it so everyone can hear. lol

Luckily most people don't like the sound quality and don't use them.

Hope you all are having a fun time this weekend.

One time we were camping next to a couple in their 70's at a State Park that didn't realize their outside speakers were left on at full blast. They decided to watch an R rated movie and the entire loop of campers were serenaded to the "F Bomb" numerous times. I laughed hysterically and then went over and let them know because there were a lot of little kids still outside playing. it was the highlight of our stay there!

It seems to me that this idea has the right to life, if you listen to nice music and not very loud so as not to annoy others

It definitely has a right to life if as you say folks are not infringing on the rights of others to enjoy the outdoors without muffled music or booming bass.

I believe where most of the problem lies is that the speakers and all the other audio equipment is of such poor quality that by default they are annoying. If the speakers were better located, down low, and of better quality so they didn't have to be cranked up to push out whatever muffled sound they can make it would make the situation better. Speakers have to 'fill the space' in order to sound good. Even the inside speakers cannot fill the space inside the RV.

I used to be in the software industry and when we wanted to sell a product we would show upper management, the decision makers, our WOW features. The features that looked REALLY COOL but really did nothing for the people that were actually doing the work. The features looked great but really served no useful purpose. I would put OEM RV speakers in this same category. They look REALLY COOL but really serve no useful purpose. Now if you want to swap out everything with better quality equipment then you have something. So really, all the RV manufacturer is giving you that is worth anything is running the wires to where you can install better speakers.

Unfortunately, what some people consider nice music and what others think of nice is two different things. I’m not a fan of rap music. In fact, I find it annoying and obnoxious, yet some people love it.

I'm not a rap fan either.
    But,
As long as it's not rap or country, I don't mind how loud the music goes. Until about 10 or 11pm. Then please turn it down.

I don't turn mine up though, I don't care to test other peoples tolerance levels.

We have found the best option to have music where we are sitting at a reasonable volume is to use a portable blue tooth speaker.
