Do I have Dexter E-Z Lube Axles?

Do I have the Dexter E-Z Lube Axles on my 2021 311BHS? I know it's best to repack bearings manually but if I ever needed to add some grease while traveling and didn't have the option to repack manually, it would be good to know if I had the E-Z Lubes where I could squirt in some grease until I was able to take care of them properly. Without jacking the RV up and taking off the wheel or crawling under the RV to read the axle sticker is there an easy way to tell?

Pop off the cap and see if there is a grease zerk I guess

I assumed they all had them but unsure

You do need to still raise the wheel and rotate it as you pump grease

I'm not sure it pops off and don't want to damage it to find out they aren't E-Z Lube. Then I've married it up for nothing. Hoping someone would know for sure.

I'm wondering what would cause you to want to add more grease while traveling. If the bearings are properly packed each year/season/mileage frequency (whatever your situation) then there is no need to add grease at other times.

Why is it none of these threads on this site can stay on topic. I asked if anyone knew an easy way to tell if I had Dexter E-Z- Lube hubs. Why I want to do something or not do something is irrelevant.

That's kind of the nature of forums, besides @NB Canada gave you an answer, if you cant pop off the center cap, then the next best way is to remove the wheel, or get your axle SN and call Dexter to verify with them.

I was just generally wondering what would make you want to add grease, maybe I'm missing something.

That center cap should pop off. if you look around the edge there should be a slot where you can get a screw driver in it (at least mine does). IF you can't pop it off then your other options are to take the wheel off. Or as noted by some one else get your axle s/n and call Dexter. The stickers are still on my axles.

Use a thin screwdriver or knife to pop off the center cap, then pull the black rubber dust cap off the axle. You will see a zerk fitting.

To answer your original question, yes, you do.

There really isn't a nice way to say this..... If you need help to find out if you have EZ lubes..... You probably should not consider using it. Your wallet will thank me later.
