    Head Knocker

I used to see these pool noodle things on the slides and think how freaking stupid. Until, I raised up one day and if not for my ball cap I would have required stitches! It was still a bloody mess. Now, this is standard equipment.

Ouch! Fortunately I'm short enough to fit under. So I gave up carrying noodles. I had a motorhome and work on them often and my wife can always tell because of cuts & such on my not-so-hairy head.

I thought doinking your head was just part of the RV experience. I've certainly mastered it. My wife's most common comment, "what did you do now".

    Larry,

We used to sail and my late wife used to tease me that we didn't have to get such a large sailboat if we just considered full standing headroom (an all-important concept in sailboats) for her. I used to be 5'11" and whether or not I can clear the bed slide depends on whether or not the site is level and, if not, if it slants to the front or back. So far, no blood from the slide...
