    Daylight at corners of slide

New 2022 MLE...when the slide is closed, we see daylight down in the corners of the slides. It almost looks like drain holes but clearly without any type of screen or trim to cover them. Wondering if this is the case on all units and what people do to cover them? When the slide is open, we still see a little daylight but obviously the hole is there; just not as visible.

They are drain holes. On my 2021 320MKS, they have rubber flaps that are part of the slideout seals.

To keep critters out, we stuffed 0000 steel wool in them.

Thanks much for confirming. I’ll put steel wool on my shopping list. 😊

Bronze wool would work as well and would not create rust streaks.

Good to know, I'll have to look for that. I don't usually buy steel wool just because it always rusts, didn't know about bronze wool. Thanks!

I have noticed the same in my 2021 MLE. My greatest concern is BUGS

My wife is a serious bugaphobe so that's an issue for us too.

why would drain holes be on the INSIDE of your RV? Makes no sense at all. My 22mle has two (2) holes of different sizes in each corner of slide. Yes, I can see daylight. Easy access for bugs to gain entry. In any event, my RV is presently at Grand Design (they actually sent a trucking company to my house and picked it up) for several repairs and the following was their response to the aforementioned: "...that is the hole for the drip pan for slide. If the hole gets completely sealed, then it would trap water in your unit". Oh, by the way, and once again, I got a LEMON.

I just added some steel wool and never had any issues with things coming in and it lets water spill out when retracting the slide in on a rainy day.
