    Rear awning stuck out, Help!

    Hello,

2021 GD Momentum 28G, has the rear awning...

When I extend it, then retract it, it retracts less and less each time. The first time 2 ft, then 4ft, etc.

Now it is practically fully extended.

Any way to manually retract this so I can safely drive it to the dealership, still has a warranty . ..

Not knowing what type of awning it is I would recommend you check the owners manual for your awning. Should be in with all the stuff that came in the GD black back of manuals.

I can tell you that my awnings have a rubber cap out on the motor cover. You pop off the rubber cap and there will be a nut in there you can turn wit a socket or drill to manually retract the awning. On mine them motor is located out at the end of the arm, on the right side of the roller. Depending you your situation you may need a ladder to reach it or back your truck under the awning and stand in the truck to reach the manual retract nut.

Best to call in the morning. Many of us haven't had any issues getting through and speak to someone.

THREE items for the rear awning.
    1. If you have adjustable arms make sure they are on the same adjustment holes.
    2. Fully extend the awning and check the track for small debris and use a toothbrush or other item to clean the track then lube with dry lubricant. - This was the issue with my Solitude 345GK.
    3. While attempting to retract... Have someone WATCH the slide track to see if the lower slide cap is binding in the track somewhere. KEEP YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE WAY OF THE ARMS.
