Important Safety Recall
Received subject letter today from Grand Design. Applies to: On 2016-2021 Imagine, Transcend & Momentum Travel Trailers manufactured between July 17, 2015, through December 17, 2020, with a Winn-Tec regulator, an internal seal in the regulator may fail allowing excessive LP gas pressure to reach your propane appliance. If high pressure LP gas were to reach a propane appliance the potential exists for a fire".

I got the letter as well. Replacing the regulator is a simple job (DIY), and only slightly harder than replacing a propane bottle, but Grand Design is making it hard for me. Since there is no dealer close by and the only one with in 100 miles says they don't have the regulators and it will take 3 days when they get them. Non GD dealers say it will be the end of September to fix it.
I just went ahead and paid the $56 bucks for a Flame King from Amazon and reported my situation to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Hopefully others will do the same. It seems if you have this kind of issue, you should provide the dealers with the parts.
I had a Honda with the exploding air bag issue and they couldn't get parts, so they provided me with another car to drive until (months later) they got the air bag replaced. Sorry for the rant, but we're leaving on a trip soon with the camper.
