    after market mattress for 22mle

plan to purchase after market mattress. the one that came in RV is soooooo bad. Same applies to dinette cushions. Anyone have any suggestions? I suspect a better mattress may impede the use of the storage area underneath. Any thoughts? Thanks.

According to the GD web site, your bed is a standard 60 x 80 queen. Any good residential mattress will be fine - all you have to do is put stronger struts on the bed platform. It's the first thing we did to our last to RVs. We're partial to Tuft & Needle mattresses, but this vendor is also popular with RVers:

If you search the forum, you'll find many threads on mattress replacement.

Marcy recovered the cushions on the chairs in ours. Put in extra padding when she did it. Much better now, doesn't feel like I am sitting on a piece of wood anymore.

I feel you. We replaced ours with an 8in Zinus Green Tea off of Amazon. It came highly reviewed and was one of the lightest. You can also get it in 6in, 10 and 12 I believe. I then used one of the original mattress layers to replace the dinette bench cushions with. Funny how it came with a mattress that was to hard and dinette cushions to soft.

We put a 4" memory foam on top and we both feel it is very comfortable.

Little late to this thread but we just replaced with one we had in our house. Innerspring and heavy but it sleeps very well.
