Theatre seating removal

Have a 303. how do you remove theater seating , need to add more comfortable seating???

That is one statement I have never heard yet to describe the theater seats!!

There a couple of screws that attach the base to the floor.

The screws are in the frame at the back of the seats. Access from the front with the leg rests raised. Takes a 90 deg. cordless driver or a strong person with a very short screwdriver to remove.

Dirtclod--if your swapping out for hay bales, we're going to have to talk (and maybe take away your perrier and caviar too !)

Looking for more information on removing the theater seats. Once unbolted from the floor, does the unit separate into multiple pieces? How easy is it to get the pieces out the door on a 303RLS?

We will be removing both the theater seats and the sleeper sofa - replacing the seats with standard recliners and building a large desk into the end of the rig in place of the sleeper sofa. So what can we do with the seats and the sleeper sofa after removing them? Any market for them?

I don't know if the 303RLS has the same ones as the Momentum, but here is how ours was...

The 4 pieces are secured by one screw each at the front. It's driven it at an angle to avoid going too deep into the slideout.

Ours have blue LED's underneath, and there is a wiring connector underneath that releases so they can be separated. Release the connector, then make sure the wires are clear and free.

Then the 4 pieces interlock. You have to start at one end (left if I remember right), pull straight up, then out. Ours had 4 segments, so I pulled all of them out, then replaced only the two outer sections on the left side of the slideout.

They are not heavy at all, but are a bit awkward for one person due to their size. I was able to take the center sections out the door and put them in my truck by myself.

We got a cheap expandable table at Ikea (BJURSTA) to put on the right side of the slideout. That way we have a small workstation, and it can be used for family meals too.

I have successfully removed the sleeper sofa and am starting to work on replacing it with a wall-to-wall desk with drawers...
