    I drank the dually cool-aid

    Ok, ok.

I gave everyone a hard time a few months ago about bragging about their dually pickups.
Since I got my Solitude 390rk, I've towed over 8k miles with my F350 SRW truck without any issues.
However, the DW said to me last week that she thought I should get a new dually truck before we go permanently full time (in about 6 months).

Who am I to argue with the wife??

Found a 2021 F350 Lariat DRW that arrived at a dealer the day I called. Took the 2 hour trip, and 2 hours later, it was mine.
The real deciding factor was that they offered me $47,000 trade in on my 2017 F350 XLT. Sales price was $78,000. $31,000 spread was worth the swap.

Heading out to experience the real difference this weekend. (as soon as I get my B&W puck hitch mount for the new truck.) So far, just driving it, I can tell the
    results will be dramatic.

And I'm sorry for doubting you all.

Once you go DRW, you'll never go back.

Although I still have my 2000 F350 7.3L SRW (119k miles now, just broke in), going to a 2021 Ford F350 DRW 6.7L was a WORLD of difference.

And the wife likes it for a grocery getter. (We live 30 miles from town here in NW Montana)

The DRW is so very stable. Matter of fact we had to upgrade our Truck Camper to a #4000 Lance with two slides to justify the truck!

Thats a good trade in and price for your Lariat.

We paid $70,500 out the door(no sales tax in MT) for our 2021 Lariat back in Feb before the panic on trucks.
Our dealer in Kalispell called us in June offering us more for the truck than what we paid. Sign of the times.

Welcome to the "Dark" side....LOL! Out of curiosity, I looked up my 2016 F350 Dually today and it is worth about $8000 more than I paid for it in June of 2017. Unbelievable huh?

Not a problem at all. We all rationalize our choices. I have never criticized anyone who pulls with a SRW. It makes a lot of sense for a lot of folks. I went DRW from day 1. Yes there are inconveniences with DRW, urban shopping centers are a nightmare. But when I am in the plains or in the mountains towing my big old box in winds that make 18 wheelers lean sideways I pat my DRW on the dash and give thanks.

Just don't test drive a F450 now that you got the F350. The much better turning radius alone is worth the couple of thousand dollars. Anyway welcome to the dully world.

I bought my '17 Ram Cummins dually in December. It has also gained $8k according to NADA since then. That's $14k more than I paid for it. It's a crazy world out there right now. No temptation to trade though. It's paid for and I love the thing.

We are liking our dually too.

When I bought our Ram, the dealer offered $17,000 sight unseen for our 2002 F350 diesel SRW longbed. That helped seal the deal. The 2016 Ram only had 8600 miles on it at 2 years old.
