Sailun Tires Survey - Have You Had A Failure?

    YES

    or

    NO

    If yes please provide details.

If no just please state the age of your tires.

Over on the Montana forum folks are reporting tread separation failures. I haven't seen this anywhere else.

    Thanks.

Had them on the Alpine for 4 years. Looked brand new. Montanas that I was looking at while shopping for the Solitude all came from the factory with Sailuns. Wonder if they were "cheaper" Sailuns compared to the ones purchased on the open market.

Purchased 6 years ago, no failures, but only about 20,000 miles. Just sold the 5th wheel they were on. Still looked great with no leaks.

Bought a set of Sailun for my car, and the next set of tires for the new-to-me 5th wheel will be Sailun. If I find a good thing I stick with it.

We had a set of Sailun S637 load range Gs on our previous fifth wheel. 27,822 miles with no issues whatsoever. The couple we sold the RV to replaced them when they aged out.

We put the same tires on our new Solitude, but only have 3,742 miles on them at this point... obviously, no issues.

Yes Rob, put the same tire back on in May before we left Florida. Those tires are HEAVY. Plenty of tread left just showing age. We replaced the spare as well.

No problems, great tire. Coming up on 6 years so will be replacing due to age. Around 25,000 miles. Nothing wrong other than age!

No issues. Just under 2,000 miles on the tires, first season on the rig.

Bought a set in May for a long trip, put roughly 3000 miles on and two lost the middle of their treads within maybe 600 miles of each other. Had to use a 3 year old Westlake spare which surprisingly held up when one of the Sailun's gave out to get me home.

I guess there have to be some bad ones made too. Nothing's perfect. But I'd still buy another set in a heartbeat.
