Next round of price increases coming soon!

Just got word that all models are going up another 6% as of August 1st.

Here is a snip from one of my Rep's emails....

"Unfortunately we are going to have to take another price increase. This one is 6% and across all brands. It will take effect on 8/1 and new pricing will be sent out soon. "

Bubbles are fun to watch, not so much fun to experience. Be interesting to see how it plays out on the other side.

How much of an increase is that since last summer? I can't keep track.

This feels like another knee-jerk economic reaction to a short-term supply chain issue. For lumber, the issue is solved, it's now declined nearly as much as it inclined...but that's just one example. I think the rest of the supply chains for RVs will catch up then we'll have a ton of new floorplans, options and models to select from and prices will once again decrease (since we'll have the last year's "boring stuff" to select from as well. If I were an RV manufacturer or sales schmo I might just keep the myth alive as long as possible that it's going to be harder to get, more expensive to get....that said, I don't believe that will be the truth come Sep/Oct 2021.

All that said, if you have something to sell: 5'er, TT, Any Brand Dually, F350/F450, GMC/Chevy 3500 or above - now may be the golden time to do it! KBB tells me I could sell my Silverado 3500 LTZ for more than what I paid for it, pretty much the same is true for Ford and Ram. Opportunity time!

Sounds like they are going to put themselves out of business of their own doing. How can they justify multiple price increases in very short period of time. And now with dealers not discounting off msrp, a 303 for example could be 20-30k more than just a year ago
    Unbelievable!
