Leak at Nautilus system question
My basement watchdog battery leak alarm (that I installed a few days ago) saved the day.
Watching TV and heard an alarm...which we couldn't place. Then it dawned on me, so into the basement I went. Easy to get to the back of the nautilus as I had already installed an access door on a piano hinge. I figured the leak detector had malfunctioned ...but no, there was a leak. I found about 1/2 cup of water on the floor and found that the city in cold water connection to t he heater was the culprit.
Nothing broken, and tightening stopped the leak, but this is one very flimsy looking fitting and it isn't going to last.
My question...is this the infamous check valve that always leaks? And what is the best replacement fittings to use for this connection?
I'll post pictures in the am. That might help!
In the meantime, thanks to those that recommended the access door, leak alarm etc.
Saved a big mess....Thanks!

So I forgot to take a picture this am when I turned the water back on, but the fitting is a plastic right angle swivel fitting...probably incapable of supporting the weight of the pex and braided water line that connects to it. Tightened and supported and back in business until I get somewhere with a hardware store.
Anyway, does anyone know the size and thread of the connections at the nautilus?

I love my Reflection 28BH, but the plumbing system left a lot to be desired so I completely rebuilt the system over several months. My OCD kicked into high gear so I decided to completely fix everything. I have documented some of it in the forum post shown below. Good luck.

I really considered going that route, but everything on the Nautilus P1 was working perfectly so I decided PEX plumb it according to the B&B Molders instructions. If something does break, Nautilus P1 parts are available:

Interesting, at the time I couldn't find any replacement parts without going through a dealer. My blue valve crapped out so I needed a solution asap, and for what the dealer wanted for a single valve, it was a no brainer for me to ditch the Nautilus system.
