    Sewer Hose Weight

So what have you folks found to use as a sewer hose weight... something I had not thought about until I heard a couple of war stories...

I cover the hose with a strip of indoor-outdoor carpet with rocks on the carpet. Keeps the sun off the hose and weights it down.

I have a little rubber thing that's flat, and two weights at each end. The flat goes over the sewer and the weights are adjustable. Not much to say about
    it, but it works.

I haven't heard the stories. Why a weight?

A Black Sewer Pig. My wife painted sun flowers on it and of coarse put LIP STICK on it.

I screw the elbow onto the sewer riser, when available. I made these sewer hose stands because we tried so many other stands and they were all junk.
I use small bungee cords to secure the hose to the stands. Click image for larger version.

Just the screw on adapter works well when that is an option, when that is not an option, this holds it snugly: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-39312-S...57&sr=8-4&th=1

I had a stainless rod lying around the garage so I cut it 18in and bent in a u shape which I just stick in the ground when I can't screw the elbow in the drain.
