    Rude?

Is it rude to run both A/C's with tent campers next door and the real feel is 106 degrees? I don't think so.

Yes - you should invite them in and share.

Offer them a beer and a sandwich while you are at it.

I don't think so either. Maybe at night it will be. We don't sleep with ours on as we find it to loud to sleep with.

No, but it would be rude to complain about the heat when you venture outside.

We were camping in some extreme heat a couple of years ago. After our morning walk and a drive to town for lunch, we retired to the trailer for reading and naps. When it cooled off in the evening, we decided to take a walk to the campground store for ice cream. We saw some fairly subdued tent campers heading for the showers. One young woman with three cranky kids was telling her husband he could either get a camper or come by himself next year because she wasn't "going through this again". We smiled, waved and kept heading for the ice cream.

I'm told it builds character. I've tent camped my whole life and still do regularly, but Memorial Day to Labor Day is the off season for my tent.

We have two AC units so we run the living room one when we sleep and set the bedroom high as a back-up.

Weird though that you are between tents. For this reason, they try and keep us separated.

You paid for A/C and they paid for a tent. You get what you paid for.
