If it has 6 lug rims then they are 4400 lb axles.

This may be true for GD, but as an FYI, I have seen 3500# axles with 6 lug drums. in fact I once swapped 6 lug drums onto 3500# axles. they bolt right up.

Probably best to go take a look at the stick on the axles themselves. Mine were facing rear on the driver side.

I guess you can make just about anything work, but in the case of the 2600RB it had 3500 lb axles with 5 bolt hubs until mid 2019, and GD apparently (finally) decided that they were too light for this trailer and made a mid year change. Of course, I'm talking about Dexter axles as delivered by GD. As Ynot4me2 stated, it's best to look at the sticker on the axles.

That TT was a 2001 Fleetwood Wilderness I bought new. I had to replace one of the axles due to a spun bearing. When I went to buy it (3500# Dexter axles) I was shocked to find that the replacement had 2-3/8" tubes instead of the 3" tubes it had from the factory. The person at Auto safety house said I could have one built with a 3"tube if I wanted to wait. He said that TT manufacturers, often use whatever they happen to have on hand that will meet the spec. needed. I needed the axle immeaditly, so I went home with the 2-3/8" tubed axle. It worked well with no issues.

So with RV manufactuerers it seems the only standard is.... There is no standard.

It's on your outside sticker on the street side front. All towable RV's are required to have that sticker on the left side front.
