Smart guy! (Personal experience, of course. Tried one of the fork oils first and still had popping. Added the CAT fluid and no more popping.)

So by adding, did you not drain, fill & bleed the system between those two oils? So could it be that the CAT fluid pushed the fork oil into the leveling legs?

The Lippert white paper allows for replacement of up to two quarts of ATF with up to two quarts of the anti-stiction fluid or fork oil. The first time I only replaced one quart of ATF with one quart of fork oil. We ran it that way for several months. We move frequently, so I think it was well-mixed but we were still getting popping. I then siphoned off another quart and added the quart of CAT fluid and, after a few cycles of the gear and slides (they share hydraulics), no more popping.

Back in 2015-2016 many of us had this problem and several reported trying things other than CAT fluid and ended up having to use the CAT fluid to get the popping to stop. I used CAT and no more popping. Knock on wood still going fine.

Thanks for the info folks. There's a CAT dealer I pass from time to time when on the road so I'll pick up the CAT fluid.

I used a turkey baster. It worked OK but I'm sure there are way better tools for the job.
