Nice. I wonder if they're feeling pressure from the significantly less expensive competition, the market today seems much different than it was a couple years ago.

I am just wondering if they are coming out with a new model. They have a heated version for $899. I just bought 2 of the regular ones for $799 each. and a Victron BMV-712 also on sale for $206.55. I purchased a Progressive converter at Amazon for 217.75. Which was about $40 cheaper than Battle Born.

I picked up two of these and have been super happy with them

Lots of options out there. Didn't even consider BB, they are over priced and source their crap from the same place the cheaper ones come from. Nice batteries, not saying they aren't but over priced.

What do the insides look like? The wiring? What kind of cells are they using? A bit expensive for a no-name brand, I'd want to know more.

Battle Born uses cylindrical cells (think Tesla, but LFP). All of the cheaper options are using prismatic pouch cells. Maybe it's not worth the premium, but it's definitely not the same.

Will Prowse with DYI solar did a complete breakdown of the battleborn 100ah battery and they have very different internal cells than anyone else and that they are built better than any of the others. You can view the breakdown videos on YouTube. That said he has also broke down many others and if you have a solar charger with a low temp cutoff like Victron you can save a huge amount of money going with several other brands. His latest video shows him breaking down and testing a $399 battery that is worth watching

The battle born batteries are at the very pinnacle of quality and ruggedness with excellent customer support. But not everyone needs a Rolex, sometime a Casio will do just fine.
Spend sometime watching his videos and make up your own mind on what your are comfortable with.

All the cells are pretty much the same and are all made in Asia. The difference is the way the batteries are assembled. Some are assembled here and some in other countries. The quality of assembly is important, but the biggest difference is the BMS. You can buy one for $5 or as much as $300. That is the key.

Battle Born is not using prismatic cells for their batteries, they are using 26650s. But sure, they otherwise pretty much the same.
