Encouraging Study
A while back I found one encouraging study from NIH (National Institute of Health) which found durable immunity for those who have had this illness and recovered naturally. Essentially, 8 months out, antibodies are still present and declining (which you'd expect), but it also found T-Cell memory of the virus was retained. If I'm not mistaken, retention of T-Cell memory is an indicator of long lasting immunity. If you're interested, you can read it here https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-...overy-covid-19
I suspected this was the case for those who's symptoms went 2 weeks or more, but was happy to resume normal life after seeing it. I can only hope this means that the delta variant which is producing breakthrough cases in vaccinated individuals might be at least as effectively beaten by those with natural antibodies...
Edit--that said, I'm not taking chances with the new variant starting to spreadLast edited by chemist308; 08-08-2021 at 02:45 AM.

First off I'm neither pro or anti vax.. I'm pro choice. Each person should have the
right to make their own decision for themselves.
If what I understand from just a quick skimming of this article is they
(The CDC)hopes the vaccine performs as well as natural occuring antibodies.
If that is the case why would those who had a longer lasting bout with Covid and then developed the natural antibodies need the vaccine?Marcy & Gary

IMO it's not needing the vaccine, it's getting the vaccine so they can keep track. That's why they go by vaccinations rather than by
antibody testing. I had it back in December of 2019, so any study that suggests naturally occurring antibodies work as well, or better,
than the vaccines has my vote.Howard and Peggy

Just get the shot - it's not political or anti-government - it is no different from getting the pneumonia vaccine, shingles vaccine, tetanus and so on. A virus will mutate, that is why there are named variants. Some will be more virulent than others and that is why the annual flu shot is tweaked every year - so it combats whatever variants are most active.

You do realize the vaccination isn't even FDA approved. Not sure why that is, but it isn't. The others you've mentioned are FDA approved.

It is FDA approved for emergency use. In this pandemic situation, I'd say it's an emergency. They're anticipating that the Pfizer vaccine, at least, will get full approval within a month. The thing is, the vaccine, once receiving full approval, is the same vaccine that's being used under emergency use. No difference.

It is completely different
Not even close
This is a cold virus that effects the old and obese
Many things that we do everyday affect the old and obese
Those other things we take vaccines for are debilitating and deadly
This lab made virus is not
Just another failed product from you know where

McDonald’s and Wendy’s aren’t killing anybody. Laziness and willpower from going to these places might be.
