Burnt out light on 50 Amp Plug in

Went to plug in at the camp site and did not see the blue light come on at the 50 AMP connection in the rear of the trailer. Is this something that just needs a fuse replaced or is it more serious?

Mine hasn't worked since day one. As long as I have power I am good. I do have the two blue lights on the male end (where you connect to the pole).

I assume that you have made sure the breaker on the campground post is turned on. Flip it off and back on. If you have a circuit tester, unplug your connection at the campground post and check that the campground has power. Is there another site next to yours that is not being used? If so, plug in to their power outlet and see if it works. Ask the campground people to check the power.

Plug in something to the 110 outlet and see if that works.

You should have, at the very least, a surge protector which you plug in to the campground power. You cord to the trailer then connects to the surge protector. The protector will light up and give you info. on the status of the power from the campground.

If you have power to your trailer, but the blue lights are not on, have your cord checked by your dealer when you return from your trip.

I have the same issue. It worked at first and I just found out last week that it decided not to work any longer. The two lights on the power cord work fine but the single light in the receptacle flip up lid does not. Its on my punch list that I'm building up one item at a time.

Thanks guys, yes it really is no big deal, but it would be nice to see if a replacement cap may solve the problem....

You are right that it won't stop things from working but an amenity that was sold with the RV and I expect it to work.

    Hi Frank (@mauiboy1),

Assuming you were getting 50-amp service to your RV okay, it is not a serious issue. The LED in the connection most likely burnt out.

Here is a link to the power inlet manufacturer's webpage that may help: http://furrion.com/product/power-inl...-square-black/.

    Best regards,
    ~ Janice

Haven’t even been out once even, but have my 50amp shore cord plugged to testerd and true 50amp outlet at garage. The rain in western new York has not stopped.
While packing up for tomorrow’s maiden voyage I noticed the “smile” on the coach receptacle is dim and one of the lights on the cord male end is out.
    Which led me here.
My guard dog surge says everything is good though
So I guess chalk it up to ( smh) ... what’s next.
