    Third Blackstone

I have been sucked into the Blackstone ecosystem! I have purchased my third Blackstone griddle product. My first was the Blackstone Tailgater for camping which combines a gas grill with a small gas griddle/flat top. It works very well and I like the versatility it provides with the grill side. I recently purchased a 36" griddle for the patio in the sticks and bricks. Love that one and use it several times a week! We just purchased a 22" Adventure Ready griddle to replace the Tailgater.

After our last trip we realized the Tailgater was a bit much when it came to setting up and breaking down. It certainly was not something that could easily be used for an overnight stop. That kind of put a monkey wrench into the DWs menu plans. So we have purchased the 22" Adventure Ready to replace the Tailgater. It will now be much easier to get out of the truck and setup on the table or the stand it came with for a quick meal. Also many more fuel source options as it comes with the connector for the small 1 lb. bottles. It also came with the hose to connect to a larger propane tank. I just received the quick connect elbow so I will also be able to connect to the trailer propane port.

For podcast listeners, below is a link to a podcast from The Verge with the Blackstone CEO. He discusses when and how he started and their business model and how the business grows. To no surprise it is social media!

I've always said that cooking outside was the reason there are indoor kitchens.

But Peggy bought me a Blackstone griddle for my birthday and I find that I like using it out on the deck. So she bought a 17" to travel with. We
just got it yesterday and haven't seasoned it yet. I believe I will store it in the slideout where the TV used to be. Mostly breakfast to keep the
grease off the walls and the side of the fridge.

I think you'll enjoy it. We like to keep the grease and heat outside as well. And it seems like we don't dirty as many dishes with the griddle.

I agree about the dishes. Actually I think it's a conspiracy that Peggy masterminded to keep me doing the cooking.

We love our Blackstone. My wife makes me take it out of the trailer to use at the house too. It's great cooking all the pancakes in one round.

Is it possible to convert a Blackstone to natural gas for use at home on my patio?

I've seen some stainless griddles, but none were Blackstone. I have no idea if Blackstone makes any, but I would think not.
