    Slide topper self install.

Getting ready to install slide topper on my 2021 reflection 320 mks . Curb side slide ,this slide has a awning attached to it as well. My question is ,,,is there anything I’ll need to do different with the awning in way compared to my other slides which have no obstructions to deal with?

Someone mentioned that you would need the thin or low profile brackets on that slide.

Or, just follow the construction rule of thumb... Measure a bunch of times, then cut (or in this case drill).

Here is a picture of my topper installation (by the dealer). I have an awning on the slide. They used a different bracket than they did on the slide on the other side.

Your exterior layout seems to be very similar to mine with two awnings. I have included a picture that shows the intersection of the two awnings and the topper. there isn't a whole lot of room between the end of the topper and the awning over the door. There might be a 1/4" of space between the end of the topper and the door awning housing.

Indeed, very close. In the picture it actually looks like they are touching. I know it is not, but definitely close. I bet you measured five times and cut once…lol

Great job, you have shown that it is difficult, but achievable.

I have a similar situation on my Reflection that I have been hesitant to move on because of that difficulty.

    Thanks,

In all honesty I cannot take credit. The dealer installed them before we picked up the new trailer. My DW had the good sense to tell me I was NOT going to install them myself. I think mostly because she is usually my helper and she didn't want to help. Especially in the hot July/August of Florida when we picked it up last year. I like to do my own work but in this case I was glad I had someone else do this.

I just called a local dealer, and they wanted 2 hours labor PER TOPPER!! We have the 351M with three toppers, one fair sized and the other two are
small. Over $800 in labor for the three toppers. That's just insane. I told them that was price gouging on a major scale.

Really? How is that price gouging? Seems downright reasonable to me.
But I come from an industry that's constantly accused of it too, so there's that.
