Progressive Dynmanics Charger
I just replaced my lead acid batteries with 2 Battle Born 12V 100Ah batteries, a Victron BMV-712 Smart battery monitor, and the new for 2021 Progressive Dynamics PD9160ALV 2 stage lithium charge/converter. I have no solar. The batteries are fully charged. I am running my residential frig with the ac breaker off so I can run the frig on the inverter only. The 712 is showing 100% battery charge, 14.35V and about .6 or .5A Does this sound right?
Well I checked the batteries today after running about 8 hours, the batteries were at 99% 13.4V and being charged at 2.4A.
I disconnected the 120V to trailer and I am going to run the Refer for about 5 or 6 hrs on the inverter to simulate a trip then plug the 120V back in and see what happens.Last edited by Malco1; 08-13-2021 at 10:45 AM.

Hi - I'm just starting to wrap my head around a battery/charger upgrade, especially since the BB's are on sale. Question on your charger selection. . . . According to the data sheet that came w/ my rig, I have a WFCO WF-9855 and is indicated on the Grand Design sheet as 55 amp. Looking at the WFCO manual, it says there are 2x 35A fuses. So I'm wondering if the 60A converter/charger PD9160ALV is appropriate as it may overload something else in the system? I'm not trying to second guess, I'm asking because I just don't know. Thanks!
