Countertops
My wife set a hot lid on our brand new countertop (thankfully I had nothing to do with it).It has left a half circle looks to be a "melt" not too deep.Does anyone know can we buff it or is there anything else we could try.She was pretty distraught so I said I would as the forum thanks RD

My Imagine has paper covered countertops
If yours is the same I doubt there is anything you can do
Edit. Tell her it adds character and not worry about it

My understanding is the countertops are Thermofoil over MDF. Thermofoil is a thin PVC product. It is more commonly used on kitchen cabinet doors. There are companies that repair the doors. If you look on YouTube there are videos on how to repair the doors. As for the countertops I don't think there is a way to patch as spot due to a burn. You may be better off replacing the countertop.

Actually, I think the Momentums it's more like a solid piece of PVC, not Thermofoil. BUT, damage is done. It melted the countertop.
