Antenna Tek vs Winegard... have a leak

So I believe my antenna is leaking... looks maybe it might just be the seal within the shaft going to do some trouble shooting today.... but real question is should I just replace the entire thing? it is one that you raise up with a crank. Are the newer ones any better that don't crank up or are any of the others any better. I believe Winegard is bigger and better known but the antenna looks identical? Let me know

There is an o-ring in there that would likely be the cause if it is leaking through the antenna shaft or quad ring. They should be lubricated every year with a big shot of silicone...there is a black plastic cap on the mounting base accessible from the roof. Pull out the little plug and that is your lubrication point. If that o-ring gets damaged you will need a quad ring replacement kit. If it is just dried out, try a shot of silicone. It may swell the o ring enough to stop the leak.

There are you tube videos available on quad ring replacements, but it isn't a huge job. If your antenna has other issues, it's likely just as easy to replace it.

An omnidirectional antenna may be more convenient than a directional antenna, but the reception won’t be as good.

Antenna Tek - is the company real?

Have a leak through my antenna... bought the trailer used last year so dug into the manuals and found out the antenna was sold by Antenna Tek. Went to their website and ordered the parts. Order was taken and the money was taken out of my account but no parts!! I have tried to call numerous times and all I get is voicemail on all three options. Sent an email, tried their chat and a note through their website.. no luck. Anyone out there dealt with them? The antenna is one of the mast antennas that you crank up... looks just like Winegard,, is it?

Going to try and stop payment and maybe replace the antenna with another manufacturer. Have other questions about antennas but will put that in a different location

    wondering about the company

Our 2014 Jayco had a directional antenna and it would bring in more channels than the 360 I have now on my Imagine

I have been trying to get the parts but having trouble with Antenna Tek.... the directional antenna that is on my camper and the directional on the Winegard site look identical? does anyone know if that is the case? I have ordered parts from Antenna Tek, they took the money but no parts and no way to contact anyone there. I have called numerous times, sent emails, tried online chat.... nothing! I don't even think it really exists!!

Yes...they are real. I've had several of their batwing antennas over the years, but I have never tried to work with them directly.

Recoup your payment and get the Wineguard. It likely isn't a Wineguard that was installed, it wasn't on our vintage Reflection. We replaced ours with the Wineguard when it got damaged a long time back. Could it just need some sealant around the base?

When we replaced the OEM antenna with the old school directional Wineguard , the Wineguard got in more channels.
