Shower stall water accumulation when not using shower

Has anyone seen a bit of water accumulation which appears to be coming from the retractable shower curtain post, even when the shower has not been used? Not sure where it is coming from. Have also seen a some ants appear from this same area.

I'm suspecting that it could be water that was left on the curtain from your previous shower. Try retracting and pulling that curtain a few time after a shower. The "squeegee" that it has is not that effective. At least on ours it isn't.

Water Accumulation in shower stall when not using shower

Has anyone seen a bit of water accumulation in the shower stall in the corner where the shower curtain retracts, even when the shower has not been used? It appears to be coming from the post which contains the shower curtain. I have also seen some ants appear from this area. Any thoughts on what might be the issue for this?

Hi Rick, we used to let our door air dry before retracting it. On travel days, we hand dried it before retracting it. Maybe give that a try.

Thank you..will do. However, we also saw this before we ever took a shower. Maybe it was residual from a final inspection process at the manufacturer??

OK, guys... now I'm curious. Is GD using the Nautilus retractable shower curtain in the Transcend Explore TTs? If so, how do you like them? I've been pondering replacing the three-part sliding glass doors in our shower with one of them (mostly to get rid of the darned lower track rail), but I'm not sure if I'd be happy in the long run.

    Thanks!

I merged the 2 threads the OP started about the same issue.

We don't really allow or encourage the same question/issue/topic by the same OP in multiple sub-forums. It caused duplication and confusion when trying to focus on a resolution for the OP.

I'm not sure if it's the Nautilus that's installed in the Imagine XLS. I'd have to check. Now do I like it? I guess it's OK. I think, given the size of our shower that I prefer it over a curtain type. It does however have a bottom piece but it not a track, more of a lip I'd say. Click image for larger version.

Keeping that clean would be WAY easier than the three-channel aluminum track at the bottom of the three-piece sliding doors! Thanks.

Totally agree on that part. Cleaning ours is easy. However it does feel kind of fragile. So we'll see how long it last.
