I don't fish but yesterday we took a boat/hike tour at Two Medicine and the guide said feel free to fish if you'd like in their lake. Apparently no permit is required and they have various species of trout (non-native).

    Thanks Larry.
How is the smoke today. An app I have shows it going up north today, not sure how accurate it is though...

It's now Friday morning. Yesterday was cool and you could see some haze. But no smell, at least not on the east side. Hiking, sightseeing would have been OK.

This morning it rained and the sun came out and now mostly cloudy with the threat of rain. No haze but low clouds. We'll go out after a while one more time before leaving.

it is what it is. The smoke here is nothing like some we've been in. We've been all over the SW and up to the NW this summer in the sever heat and some smoke. We got out of OR just as the smoke was coming in (and well before that disaster going in Tahoe right now). Only one day did the smoke has some effect on us and that was Kalispell but only lasted a day. The heat was another story.

I think any smoke here is from Canada (you know our norther territory )..... All reports here are that it is not from the US's western fires (California's).

We're leaving tomorrow headed east for 4 days straight on the way to Minnesota.

We were there in August for a long week. The smoke comes and goes so not every day was ruined by it by any means. Don't cancel because of the smoke. JMO

Super crowded here and this sw sunshine lover learned that trees and shade require a generator, no matter how many watts of solar you have. Had to move to get electricity

Thanks, we did and are now on the east side. Been clear weather lately and getting colder. Will begin south this weekend, maybe Zion?
