Closed for another month....
Well, we were looking forward to visiting the Twin Cities in September. Figured the US border would be open to Canadians by then.
But the closure has been extended to Sept 21. Soooo...I guess we are going to visit Winnipeg instead.
To you northern state dwellers...do you think they will open the border this year? Or forget about visiting USA till next year?2018 Dodge 3500 6.7 Cummins SRW w/Aisin

I saw that in the headlines. I think whether or not things open up again depends a lot on how the surge(s) with the variants go. I'm originally from the US Southwest and last winter was really different down there without our Canadian snowbird friends. We're spending this coming winter in Las Cruces and will miss them if things are still closed down.

New Mexico.....I too was hoping that the border would open up but have made plans to store the new rv as it also has some warranty issues that I will have them deal with. Incidentally, my go to internet radio station is 101 Gold from Las Cruzes New Mexico. This is why I responded to your comment. My brother in law and spouse live in Houston so our initial idea was to drive it down and leave it there and drive back returning in mid March. Likely will do that next fall. Enjoy your winter hibernation!

They announced on CBC national news this morning that the land border will open in “early November” for non essential travel. The exact date will be announced later today. You must be fully vaccinated with a CDC approved vaccine and a negative test will not be required.

Our Canadian employees were scheduled to come here in October. They’ve been told it won’t be happening.

We had 2 small getaways planned for up state NY. I guess we'll be putting those on the side burner for this year unless things change. [emoji17][emoji25] 1 day

We just had a color conference in Atlanta last week. Was surprised to see some friends from Canada at the conference. They had to get a covid test 72 hrs prior to flying both directions. So is the border really closed, or is it having to quarantine once you get home?
