They announced on CBC national news this morning that the land border will open in “early November” for non essential travel. The exact date will be announced later today. You must be fully vaccinated with a CDC approved vaccine and a negative test will not be required.

That's because they were waiting for me to winterize mine and park it for the season which was done yesterday. [emoji849]

I did mine a month ago (as I do every year), still go south every year (except for last year).

We ordered the trailer in late 2019 with the idea of using it in Oregon & California in the fall & spring. My idea was to store it in the Kennewick/Richland/Pasco area. It is currently winterized and in local storage (although I do have to take it in next week for the propane regulator recall). I was willing to rush down early/mid November if winter didn't hit too bad.

Yesterday I had a discussion with she who must be obeyed..... Guess it's staying here for the winter

I have to go to California next month anyway. I have 2 motorcycles and a small trailer that have been sitting in the desert in a storage unit since March 13, 2020. It will take me a week to rehab (battery, tires, gas tank, oil).

We normally don't go until after Xmas, have never had a problem w/ weather. Had to shut it down early one day in Nephi Utah due to heavy snow, it was fine the next morning.

I'm excited to see our Canadian friends return this winter in FL. That was a long haul of having to pay park rent and not reap the warm rewards. One couple sold their park model so they won't be back. We had a few rouge Canadians stop in for the season last winter. One with their truck and trailer the others rented park models.

They must of had their truck and trailer stored in the US, no way they were able to drive across.

I think they paid to have both transported across the border then flew in, grabbed their rig and drove into the sunset

That would make sense....but I shudder at the thought of the cost of that! Ouch! My brother paid $2000 just to have his car transported. But if you want to go bad enough, then cost doesn't matter much.
