    Bedroom slide issues?

I haven't noticed this before, so I'm not sure if this something that needs fixing or not. My bedroom slide will retract fully and sit flush to the outside of the 337RLS. However, when I extend the slide out, the left side of the slide (towards the rear of the RV) is flush with the inside wall. The right side has about a 4" gap. It appears the slide isn't extending evenly/parallel. What can I do to fix this or is this something only a RV repair shop can do? TIA

I am aware that there are potentially both automated and manual calibration and adjustment methods. The first being a process for bringing it in and out to realign, the latter being physical adjustments to the slide mechanics. The methods depend on which brand and model of slides you have as well as the problem you are experiencing. I'm not a GD expert by any means, so I won't try to guess what you have. On our old camper, (not a GD), it would get out of wack a couple of times per season. There was a documented process of sliding it out until it got back square. I believe it was this process we used, and this video happens to be for a GD so it likely applies to you - https://youtu.be/fJC1YQ50eeo

Hopefully others with more expertise on your model can offer more specific advice.

I have a 2020 337 with a schwintek slide in the bedroom, I assume you have the same.
I just checked the gap between the slide and the wall when my bedroom slide is out and it is about 1/2 all the way around. There are documented procedures for aligning the two motors that drive the schwintek slid.

You said My bedroom slide will retract fully and sit flush to the outside of the 337RLS. but when slide is extended there is a large gap on one end on the inside, that sounds odd to me. If synchronizing the motors does not fix the problem you might want to make sure your box is square. Get a large square and start measuring.

Since it sounds like the slide is working have someone put it out and you stand under the slide and see if it goes out smooth and watch the gap between the slide front and the side of the trailer. On mine the slide comes out straight, no angle and the gap between the front edge of the slide and the side of the trailer is the same for the full width of the slide. If it is not coming out straight then you need to figure out why.

Well, don't I feel silly. I checked between the interior wall and the slide sides to make sure nothing was blocking the slide from fully extending out.

Then, I performed the step suggested by Timmer, and that didn't solve my problem.

Then I found a link to do a Slide-Out Control Box Reset Procedure.

    https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws..._82_s0544_.pdf

That also didn't fix my slide issue (although I learned quite a bit about the control box).

After a bit of time, getting more frustrated, I brought in the slide halfway, double checked under the head board on the carpeted floor under the slide portion, and I found an alarm clock that must have fallen and rolled under the bed. That is all it was. Problem solved!

Thanks for your help Timmer and Always Learning. I'm happy this didn't require a trip to the RV repair shop.

    I've been there!!

On our last trip (MD to ME) I could not get our bunkhouse slide to open fully upon arrival. Tried everything,.. re-sync, manual, reset, etc. But it would only extend halfway.

I finally had my 8yr old squeeze through the partially open doorway (I couldn't fit) and he found a lower cabinet door had opened during the trip and was obstructing the slide.

You talk about a stressful experience.

Needless to say, I now have a child latch on the cabinet doors.
