    Then I mounted a plexiglass piece that spans the width of the front of the well 1/2 to 1/3 of the length of that well. That is screwed into a piece of wood that also screws to the bottom piece. And then the top piece of plexiglass is also velcro'ed to the dash.

    I thought I needed something for the 760 to rest on but it holds just find in it's magnetic holder which is suction cupped to the top plexiglass piece.

    I bought a glass protective screen, but that's it.

    And I ordered a 6"x6" 1/4" plexiglass for tray. Worth a shot.

    A follow-up. Ordered a 6x6 inch 1/4 inch thick plexiglass. Cut off 1 inch
    to fit. Pulled dash tray out to make sure not to hit anything.
    Used 2 exploding rivets to hold down. Worked great.

    @A.Texas.Yankee
    Sorry - just now getting on line to get to some posts......

    I ran the 12v from the fuse panel in the passenger side toe kick area (where there are also feed-thru wires from the engine compartment). I just tapped off of another fuse that is only active when "key" is in the "Run" position. I fused that feed too that goes up to the tray.

    Anyway, anyone have good tips on a hard case and mounting in the dash tray of my Ford 2017. Sits perfectly matching the front edge but either needs screwing down or plexyglass?

    Thoughts, pics and links welcomed.

    Thanks
    The soft Garmin case that is made for the 7" Garmin fits the new 8" fine.
    I took out the rubber mat on the dash and installed a 3" plexi disk just glued down with 3M.
    I got both the case and disk on Amazon.
