With our 310 GK I found that there is a space between the island the couch when the slides are in. I built a rack that the bikes sit on nested with the wheels off and they are secure and safe from the weather.

(Be sure to throw away the U-bolts and bumper mount that come with it - you only want to use this in the hitch receiver that's mounted to the frame.)

We've used one of these for six years and have had zero issues with it.

That’s what we use, with an 11 inch extender to keep the bikes off the back end. The extender is “permanently“ attached and the rack is added when we’re on the road. Otherwise the hitch is attached to our SUV at home base.

Swagman is a great choice. Rock solid rack that is very easy to use. Pretty robust construction too. We have had ours all over the country and it has worked out very well for us.

I really like my Yakima tray style rack - holds the bikes in place very well. I do add a couple bungees in a couple places just to be sure but haven't had any issues. Whatever rack you get be sure you use an anti rattle piece as well. I use the Curt style that slides down the tube with a 3/4" head bolt and really tighten it down.

    Bike Rack Recommendation?

What do you guys recommend that will handle the bouncing and jostling of the roads?
We have the 1upusa. It is more pricey than some but it is rock solid holding your bikes on the back of a fifth wheel and it’s rated by the company as fifth wheel certified.

    Thanks.
Anything mounted on the back of an RV - especially a towable - experiences many more Gs (G-force or multiples of normal gravity) as the RV bounces down the road than do racks mounted on the back of passenger cars. Many bike racks will state in the literature that comes with them that they are not to be used on RVs. "RV rated" means that the manufacturer has designed the rack to withstand the shock and resulting stresses of RV use.

If I'm not mistaken, the Jack It is a rack for mounting at the front of a travel trailer over the LP tanks. The OP has a Solitude fifth wheel.

Using the Swagman also. Note if you have a Solitude without a bumper, the inside bike is a tight squeeze. I had to loosen the handlebars and rotate them perpendicular to the bike frame for it to fit. Otherwise, great rack for nice price.

LOL, same just didn't mention it! Used it once so far, and heading out again in a few weeks. The only worry is the extender does not have the screwdown, hold it in place pin. Were you able to find an extender that has that on it?
It does wiggle some, so I'll have to keep a close eye on the bolts for wear and stress.

What I did to try to mitigate wiggle is 2x split washers and one of those lock nuts with the plastic/teflon center. As I said, will be keeping a close eye on it.
