    Increasing Spring Strength

Have a general question about my dexter springs?
I have a 2020 Transcend Xplor 265BH. It has the
Dexter axles rated at 4400lbs. I recently picked up
An extra spring for our out west trip just in case something
bad happened. That spring is rated at 2400 which is 200
more than current ones on the axle..

Before you ask I’m not going to overload my campers weight
Requirements but was wondering if I upgraded to these 2400 or
3000k rated springs would it hurt or help the stability of my camper?

Currently 600 under my maximum weight for travel but these
roads in our country are brutal on a camper.

I realize the axle is only as strong as it’s weakest part but having
a buffer of strength would make me feel better.

I think going up one size makes sense as RV manufacture's run the RV trailers too close to their weight. Going up two times could be too much making the trailer ride too rough which could cause problems with the trailer.

Increased capacity, not necessarily strength. You will notice a somewhat harsher tow because of the different spring rate for the slightly higher capacity. Many of us make small upsizes in our springs. Going up to a 3K puts you in damage territory because of the increased stiffness. Have so little give means the axle, frame, box, and contents will be exposed to harsher pounding.

I don't think the extra 200 lb capacity will make the ride much different. In other words I don't think you will notice any difference.
    I think it's a good improvement.

Thanks for the info .. I’ll up them to the 2400 size .. That with the Cree 3000 which has made a huge improvement in ride should set me straight. Any thoughts on switching to the Road Armor vs my Moryde Cree?

Yep, a thought, stop watching YouTube influencers! LOL!!!

Seriously though, the Road Armor is a way better design that LCI's Equa-Flex duds, but the MORryde CREs are a top-shelf, well-proven choice.
