    Atwood Refrigerator Blowing Fuses

I have a 2015 Reflection 303RLS with an Atwood fridge. Due to COVID, our rig hasn’t moved in 16 months. On two occasions, we have turned on the fridge to store seasonal beverages, and both times, it blew a 3A fuse abs switched to gas. Any suggestions on what is causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Assumption: you were plugged into shore power and expected to run the fridge on shore power.

Was the Fuse on the Atwood fridge controller board?

    Yes, and yes.

Fridge ran fine for days, then blew the fuse.

I don't know about the problem. I had to replace my Atwood, and I talked to our local RV refrigeration repair store. They suggested going with a Dometic 12 volt/LP 9 cu. ft. model.

I quickly figured out my new Dometic was 1" thicker. I chiseled out some of the insulation on the back wall of the slide and it fit.

If it is the control board, contact me through PM, we have one that is not needed any of more. Way back Dometic warrantied our Atwood replacing it with a new 9cft Dometic fridge. We had gotten spare parts knowing it was discontinued.

We also have the black on off box and a heater tube if interested, take all 3 and we can make you a sweet deal ...

Marcy - GDRV replaced our original Helium Atwood with a new one in fall 2014. We replaced the electric heating element 3 years ago (and have a new spare too) and the fridge is working very well. I may be interested in your parts.........shoot me a PM when you get a break at the rally and maybe we'll take you up on a sweet deal. If you have the parts with you, we have friends from SD at the rally whom you can get the parts to as we will be camping with them in about a month.

    Thanks, Marcy !
